Music
If you can call LIVER,… “MUSIC”,…. then this is the music page.
LIVER has never been understood and I think I like it that way. Oh sure people LOVE to come up for reasons why we glorify lewd antisocial behaviour in song. Maybe – just maybe as sophomoric and idiotic as it is we think weird shit is funny and it deserves to be celebrated in song. Maybe we do it because only a handful of people would ever dare to do something that goofy. And MAYBE, just FUCKING MAYBE it makes us and a few of you out there laugh a bit and remember a time in your life when you didn’t have the stress, the responsibility you have now, the need to be mature and to be sociably acceptable. Thru us and our music, we allow you to release your inner scumbag. In a way, we preform both a public service and a mental health therapy session when you listen to our crap. It may not be socially acceptable to announce that you just farted, or to share with everyone a psychotic vision of a truck full of pitchforks rolling down the side of a hill in a pitchfork avalanche. Maybe you’re a race fan and the only reason you watch racing is to see someone roll in a ditch and break their spine.
LIVER allows you to do all the above and then some, and it’s set to music that generally isn’t bad. It sucks, but it isn’t bad. Best of all, you won’t see LIVER up on a soap box trying to save the rare spotted and elusive South Bumphuk underground Llama or some political shit. We don’t wanna free some wrongly accused mailman rapist, or try to educate inner city youth by teaching them a strong work ethic doesn’t mean diddly if you realize the squeaky civil rights activist not only gets the grease but the jobs as well.
Well we don’t do it with out music. We will do it in blogs. Religion however, that’s fair game. We’ll sing about that because we almost have too. It’s an unwritten rule that you call into question god and his followers if you play lewd music.
We have been doing this stuff for over 20 years. We are older sure, some of us are falling apart but when you get down to it, not only does our silliness make us act young, it’s kept us young too. At the end of the day, if we made just one of you out there smile, laugh, or shake your head in disgust – then we’ve don’t our job.
